Cate’s been working, as usual, on the bleeding edge of things. She’s a force of nature, always sniffing out the newest of the new, leading those around her into the future. Back in 2009, Cate appeared and talked me into our first Tweet-Up. Actually it was one of the first anywhere. Tonight she’s got us tuning into the launch of Boardwalk, by Swarm.City. During a week of much needed summer rain showers, we gathered like massive storm clouds once again, at our Entrepreneur Social Club (TM) headquarters, the historic DTSP venue NOVA 535. Our ESC weekly gathering can offer just the “sunlight and rain” we “wilted” business owners and Entrepreneurs need. Needed dearly after our hectic weeks to refresh, learn and grow. Tonight we saw many lovely, new faces, from all different industries, backgrounds and ancestries. Much of the fun and excitement of our gatherings is welcoming new people, with their unique stories, backgrounds and perspectives. Of course dinner, drinks and the afterparty party also offer us a chance to blow off the proverbial steam! It’s another beautiful Thursday night, March 16, 2017, here in lovely downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, what we locals call DTSP. We’re gathering at our gorgeous, historic HQ, St. Pete’s 5-Star wedding and event venue NOVA 535. Where our weekly ritual has taken place since 2009, when the Entrepreneur Social Club, aka ESC, was founded. And Trademarked. So if you are considering creating a social club for Entrepreneurs, be original and find your own name. Dorks!! (Side rant.) Anywho, here we gather to laugh and cry, to share our successes and failures. Plus we enjoy some cocktails from our lovely master bartender Vanessa, and get in some good ol’ fashion networking. When the timing is just right, we enjoy some Entrepreneurial Magic.

Tonight, Thursday March 2, 2017, here in beautiful Downtown St. Pete, Florida, was an extra special night for the Entrepreneur Social Club. We were celebrating several successes, including Authors, Alleys and the HSN Drip Krown. Our authors are Daniel Nyiri, owner of 4U-Fitness (below), who along with Stephanie Wynn, are publishing their first books. Congrats! We’ll get into the alley later…. as to other success story of the night it’s from Don “Drip Krown” Kobasky. Don is our infamous high-impact oil on canvas painter turned inventor. Don had to grind it out, using his “never say never, never give up” Brooklyn, NY attitude. Tooth, nail and perseverance was required to get himself on the air at our local King Kong network HSN. Bravo to Daniel, Stephanie and Don!!

Thursday, January 12, 2016 heralds our weekly gathering with the Entrepreneur Social Club, AKA the ESC. We have been meeting every Thursday, sans any major holidays like Thanksgiving, since January 2009. In the light of a wedding being on schedule for tonight at our DTSP headquarters, historic wedding and event venue NOVA 535, we are offsite for ESC. So we ventured to Suozou Asian Fusion Restaurant to enjoy French Accents Hard Science and Sushi Galore, at 435 5th Avenue North. Call them at 727-823-4050, they are fabulous!
Attendance sometimes dips when we are offsite, and I use the time when I’m sitting there alone waiting for our members for a moment of introspection. For instance, I think: Why are you doing this Michael? Who will show tonight? As I organize my laptop and get my Cannon 6D ready, I ponder what the ESC means to me… Why every Thursday I spend my valuable time and energy on my “charity”, a free social club focused on helping and mentoring my fellow Entrepreneurs.

Are you ready for another Entrepreneurial adventure? One with laughs, tears and agony from heartache and loss, positive growth and knowledge, one where an Iberian Rooster is involved, plus mucho mucho high quality Tequila. Then fire up a Jzon-van-oh-my-damn late night alley tour, and fast forward to the end, past the many stops, laughs and hilarious moments we don;t allow on film – for our brains only. We don’t kiss and tell (well, not always). A story where everyone ends up safe and sound. Why? Because we all use UBER, silly! So tonight we’ll title our story: Happy Birthday Dorkstar, Dinner at Iberian Rooster!
2016 Accomplishments We Are Most Proud Of
As I was wrapping up a pre-ESC business meeting, Shaun Rubrecht, who left 15 months ago on a 30 day trip to Thailand, yup you read that correctly, walked back into the club. Wowzers! Shaun, seated below front left in purple dress shirt, caught the “4-Hour Work Week” bug – if you haven’t read it yet, do so. Also read Entrepreneur Revolution by Daniel Priestly. It is another great book to frame how we Entrepreneurs think and act. Welcome back brother!! Tonight’s (December 1, 2016) theme is “2016 Accomplishments We Are Most Proud Of”. So let’s jump right into the Entrepreneur Social Club hosted again here at HQ – DTSP historic venue NOVA 535.
Milling Around DTSP with Boxes Full of Flavor
By the time I rolled into NOVA 535 for tonight’s Entrepreneur Social Club meeting, yup it’s Thursday night again, November 3, 2016 to be exact-O, there were already several members milling around the bar. For reasons to be discovered, we’ll call tonight, “Milling Around DTSP with Boxes Full of Flavor”. Other members were already at the meeting table, chatting away. I was running a bit late, you know, busy BUSY Entrepreneur and all that. Our delightful neighbors, Alin Leslie and Caylin McDonie of Dollylocks Salon, the really cute, modern and organic salon just a few stores down the south, were in the house. Yeah! Plus, I spied several new faces awaiting their first ESC experience. Guess it’s time to get things rolling for another fun and productive night of networking, schmoozing, drinking, learning, growing and Tom Foolery! (Love Sheri Kendrick chewing on Tony’s head!)
