Cate’s been working, as usual, on the bleeding edge of things. She’s a force of nature, always sniffing out the newest of the new, leading those around her into the future. Back in 2009, Cate appeared and talked me into our first Tweet-Up. Actually it was one of the first anywhere. Tonight she’s got us tuning into the launch of Boardwalk, by Swarm.City. Sunshine Grind Rain Rain Rinse and Repeat
During a week of much needed summer rain showers, we gathered like massive storm clouds once again, at our Entrepreneur Social Club (TM) headquarters, the historic DTSP venue NOVA 535. Our ESC weekly gathering can offer just the “sunlight and rain” we “wilted” business owners and Entrepreneurs need. Needed dearly after our hectic weeks to refresh, learn and grow. Tonight we saw many lovely, new faces, from all different industries, backgrounds and ancestries. Much of the fun and excitement of our gatherings is welcoming new people, with their unique stories, backgrounds and perspectives. Of course dinner, drinks and the afterparty party also offer us a chance to blow off the proverbial steam! We are gathering for our weekly networking, schmoozing, mentoring, drinking, laughing, learning, dining and so much more. Plus some Headshots Splits and maybe even an afterparty! It’s every Thursday since 2009, our group, the Entrepreneur Social Club (TM). A chance to meet and connect with fellow business owners, Entrepreneurs, and the like minded, where religion and politics are forbidden. A place to discuss and debate the best way to solve problems, to make a better business or process; not a place for bullies nor jerks. A fun place where we all walk away a bit smarter. Better humans and business people. A place we call home.
Happy Birthday Dorkstar Dinner at Iberian Rooster
Are you ready for another Entrepreneurial adventure? One with laughs, tears and agony from heartache and loss, positive growth and knowledge, one where an Iberian Rooster is involved, plus mucho mucho high quality Tequila. Then fire up a Jzon-van-oh-my-damn late night alley tour, and fast forward to the end, past the many stops, laughs and hilarious moments we don;t allow on film – for our brains only. We don’t kiss and tell (well, not always). A story where everyone ends up safe and sound. Why? Because we all use UBER, silly! So tonight we’ll title our story: Happy Birthday Dorkstar, Dinner at Iberian Rooster!
Our 9th Nova Noel
This week it was feeling a lot like the Holidays, a desire to be relaxed coupled with a bit of extra craziness… and that’s because it was time for our annual Holiday party, our 9th Nova Noel! Of course it was held at Entrepreneur Social Club‘s headquarters, NOVA 535, in beautiful Downtown St. Pete. The decorations and atmosphere were simply exploding with festive vibes, and we were loving all of it.
Milling Around DTSP with Boxes Full of Flavor
By the time I rolled into NOVA 535 for tonight’s Entrepreneur Social Club meeting, yup it’s Thursday night again, November 3, 2016 to be exact-O, there were already several members milling around the bar. For reasons to be discovered, we’ll call tonight, “Milling Around DTSP with Boxes Full of Flavor”. Other members were already at the meeting table, chatting away. I was running a bit late, you know, busy BUSY Entrepreneur and all that. Our delightful neighbors, Alin Leslie and Caylin McDonie of Dollylocks Salon, the really cute, modern and organic salon just a few stores down the south, were in the house. Yeah! Plus, I spied several new faces awaiting their first ESC experience. Guess it’s time to get things rolling for another fun and productive night of networking, schmoozing, drinking, learning, growing and Tom Foolery! (Love Sheri Kendrick chewing on Tony’s head!)
Novaween Social and Delicious Brick and Mortar
This week was a change of pace for Entrepreneur Social Club as we opted to focus a bit more on the “social” aspect of the night. The group met at historic downtown St. Pete (DTSP) venue Nova 535 for drinks and social hour before heading over to one of DTSP’s finest dining and wine spots, Brick & Mortar. This allowed an opportunity for each of our members to feel more relaxed and open as we got to know one another a little bit better.
Just One and Done
Hey there fellow Entrepreneurs! This is the Entrepreneur Social Club, and I DO warn everyone that Social is in the heart of our name and attitude. Yes we are super productive and helpful. Yes we have lightbulb moments each Thursday night during our meetings. Yes we provide real, honest constructive feedback, starting with your pitch and business card. Yes we create a ton of real value and new business, plus global connections and new friendships. Yes this is a business social club. However, as previously aforementioned, this IS a SOCIAL CLUB and we will get completely dark alley, sideways now and again. Watching a gorgeous downtown St. Pete sunrise on Friday morning, after a hilarious and SAFE uber ride home across the Howard Frankenstein Bridge, enjoying a morning-cap of apples, cheeses, gourmet organic pickles, super hydrating coconut waters and such is the way to complete a night FULL of tom foolery. Especially when we “promised” ourselves that at Ruby’s Elixir, we’d be “Just One and Done” HaHaHahaaaa!! Just One and Done, really, just one and done…. that’s Hilarious!

Hi I’m Michael Novilla. As I travel the world connecting with my fellow Entrepreneurs, I found that we all need a help and support, so I created a system called the NOVA Way. In 2005 is used the Nova Way to built my hometown St. Pete our own unique world-class event space called NOVA 535. In 2009 created a charity, the Entrepreneur Social Club, and now I also own and operate DowntownStPete.com, where everyone goes for the Best of what’s Local in DTSP. Again I’m Michael Novilla. So that is my general social pitch, a quick way of describing me and my enterprises. We always spend about 20-30 seconds each pitching the group (always seated here at ESC, it’s a fun casual SOCIAL club, not a boring seminar with people standing up and droning on and on and zzzzz…) after I’ve explained the Entrepreneur Social Club Rules.

Tonight, Thursday June 16, 2016 we are off-site at Souzou Fusion Restaurant, located at 435 5th Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. Call (727) 823-4050 for reservations. Typically we are at my historic wedding and event venue NOVA 535, but tonight NOVA is booked for a private affaire, a glamourous wedding ceremony and reception. So we’ve ventured out to my pal Mike Harting’s (owner of 3 Daughter’s Brewing) swanky spot Souzou for our meeting, dinner and drinks. A night filled with sushi and sake! Compi!!
